Another Snow Day

The Weather

came...and went.  I think we had it pretty easy...just a little freezing rain (not much), and thunder-sleet!

These poor turkeys tried to wait out the sleet storm under the trees in the yard.  All in all, I think there were between 28-30 very hungry turkeys.

More FO's

Yet another hat :)

Foliage Beret by Irina Dmetrieva...it's a free Ravelry download here.

Knitted in Green Mountain Spinnery's Mountain Mohair in Moss.  This color is so hard to photograph...but the color is pretty good in these pics, I think.

Having so much mohair in the yarn makes it a little difficult to see the pattern in the pics, but it looks really snazzy in hand...or on a head.

And again, tubular cast on for neatness.  Though I find I have to use a bigger needle to cast on so the edge isn't too tight.  Which is weird, since I'm a pretty loose knitter.

Amazing there's so much green in this pic for February.  Sadly, I finished this hat in December, but I'm finally getting around to taking pics just this past week.

Still no wintery precip to be seen around here, yet.  Just when I was ready to start hauling out the garden implements. LOL

And

another Habitat...

This time in Lamb's Pride Worsted in M05 Onyx

Like the other, it worked up fast, and is soo pretty.

However, this time I just cast on 120 stitches, and worked 2 x 2 rib for an inch...then on to chart "B".

So the weatherman is forecasting some icky winter precip...here's hoping it will be "Much ado about nothing".   Hmmm...I wonder what I will knit or crochet or fold to pass the time?

Fuzzy

thoughts and cute, little hearts.  Fuzzy thoughts, as I've not been feeling well, and really need to catch up on several finished projects.  But you're here to see the cute hearts, eh?

Followed this pattern for the heart.  And this one for the wings.

The light pink hearts are made to pattern...the darker heart in the lower left has a few extra rows added.

Just sew the wings on the back.  Easy.  Fun.

These work up incredibly fast...and are like 'tater chips.

mmMMMmm

Hmm, well, now that I've trapped the stones, I guess they've no choice but to grow the shaggy, green stuff...

I was recently gifted an anniversary clock...but the clock itself didn't really work.  So I saved the dome, bought a 6 inch saucer, and went moss hunting.

I came home with some nice, little rocks.  Though I had to do a bit of finagling to get them into the saucer.
he looks better small...darn macro!

So now I'm waiting for them to settle in some more...and maybe I'll find a tiny fern companion.

By twisted tree...

Made this handsome little fellow last night.

Directions here via here.

My bag was just a bit bigger than a lunch bag.  And I was quite random about the cuts I made for the branches.  Twisting them around was quite fun...and stress relieving, too :)

Now I have to decide if I should make 3 more, one for each season.  Or try to think of a way to affix the blossoms and leaves in such a way that I can add/remove them as the seasons change.
