Some of the patterns seen: Chintz, June Bouquet, Ridge Daisy, Garden Lane, Beaded Apple, Rose Hill, and Fruit Fantasy |
So I pulled out my tiny collection of Blue Ridge Pottery. These were hand painted in NE Tennessee by local people (mostly women) trained by the pottery to paint the designs. The pottery closed in 1957, and at one time employed around 1,000 people. Most of these pieces are circa 1940's.
I am especially partial to the platter and gravy boat, which is the pattern called Chintz.
